Rally to Restore the Promise of Earth Day
April 22 @ 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Join WaterLegacy from 4-4:30pm on Earth Day (April 22), in front of Governor Walz’s Mansion (1006 Summit Ave, St. Paul). Let’s show our commitment to a just, sustainable future for all Minnesotans who depend on clean water!
We’ll call on the Governor and his Administration to turn over a new leaf…To stop Line 3 and the PolyMet and Twin Metals sulfide mines. To protect clean water, human health, fish, wild rice, and wildlife.
• Bring posters of plants and animals who need our voice (fish, birds, bees, wild rice, trees), as well as Stop Line 3 and Stop PolyMet signs.
• Hear Paula Maccabee, WaterLegacy’s Advocacy Director and Counsel speak briefly and ask the Walz Administration to restore the trust of all communities that our state government will protect people and Minnesota’s environment, not polluters.
• Show the Earth your love by wearing green!
• As a sign of renewal, we’ll be passing out seedlings to take home with you.
Please let us know you’re coming and if you’d like to help make posters by e-mailing Waverly@waterlegacy.org.
Please wear your mask and practice social distancing while attending the rally. This is a family friendly event, with street parking on Summit Ave.
